Thermal overload unit rated 3.37 to 3.68 A with trip class 20 for NEMA sizes 0, 1 and 2
The Eaton FH28 thermal unit provides overload protection for motor starters in the 3.37 to 3.68 ampere range. It fits NEMA Size 0, 1 and 2 starters and is compatible with Series A200 and B100 equipment. The transparent housing allows visual inspection of the trip mechanism.
Trip Class 20 defines the maximum time the unit allows an overload before tripping, which suits general-purpose motor loads with moderate acceleration. The thermal mechanism reacts to sustained overcurrent rather than short inrush spikes. It covers two overlapping full-load current bands from 2.84 to 3.6 amperes.
This unit replaces original thermal units that have tripped repeatedly or no longer match the motor nameplate current. It upgrades installations where the previous element covered a different ampere range. The change is worth it when the motor full-load current falls between 3.37 and 3.68 amperes.
