The Eaton H2014B-3 thermal unit provides overload protection for motor starters in the Freedom Series. Each unit covers a full-load current range of 23.5 to 38.5 amperes. It is compatible with NEMA sizes 0, 00, 1, 2, 5, 6, 7 and 8. The pack contains three units for multi-starter installations.

Trip Class 20 behaviour

Trip Class 20 means the unit allows a longer acceleration period before tripping under sustained overload. This characteristic suits applications with high-inertia loads or frequent starts where brief current peaks are normal. The thermal mechanism responds to heating over time rather than instantaneous peaks.

Current range 23.5 to 38.5 A

Select this pack only when the motor nameplate current falls between 23.5 and 38.5 amperes. Motors outside this range require a different thermal unit rating. The NEMA size compatibility does not override the current-range requirement.
