Industrial Rotary Handle Mechanism IP65

This Eaton rotary handle mechanism provides manual control for compatible XT series electrical equipment. It is designed for installers and maintenance engineers who need a front-mounted operating handle on industrial control panels or switchgear assemblies.

Sealed IP65 Enclosure Rating

The IP65 rating confirms protection against dust ingress and low-pressure water jets from any direction. This sealed construction keeps internal components clean and dry during normal wash-down or dusty plant conditions without requiring additional sealing measures.

Compact Form Factor With Included Shaft

Overall dimensions of 2.75 inches height by 3 inches width by 7 inches depth allow the mechanism to fit within standard panel cut-outs. The transparent finish lets operators confirm handle position at a glance while the supplied shaft simplifies installation on compatible XT series devices.

Questions about this item

How do I install the shaft that comes with this Eaton rotary handle mechanism?

Insert the supplied shaft through the panel cut-out, secure the handle body with the mounting screws, then engage the shaft end into the breaker operator — the step often missed is tightening the set screw on the handle hub before final torque.

What part of this IP65 rotary handle mechanism will need replacement after prolonged use?

The shaft seal and handle gasket are the wear items; inspect them during scheduled panel maintenance and replace if compression set or cracking appears.

At what point does the IP65 rating become the limiting factor during continuous operation?

The IP65 seal is the first limit — sustained exposure to high-pressure wash-down or fine dust beyond the rated ingress protection can compromise the enclosure integrity.
