Electronic overload relay protects contactors with adjustable 20-100A current range, selectable trip classes 5, 10, 20, 30, three poles, and auto or manual reset
The Eaton XTOE100DCS is an electronic overload relay rated from 20 to 100 amperes across three poles. It mounts on XTCE series contactors and starters to guard motors against sustained overcurrent conditions in industrial control panels.
Frame D construction houses the sensing and trip electronics without separate heater elements. Selectable trip classes 5, 10, 20 and 30 let the installer match the relay response to the motor start profile. Auto and manual reset modes are both available on the same unit.
This relay supersedes traditional thermal overload blocks that require individual heater packs for each current setting. The electronic design covers the full 20 to 100 ampere range in one device, reducing spare-part inventory and eliminating heater selection errors. The upgrade is worthwhile when motor ratings change frequently or when consistent trip performance across ambient temperature swings is required.
