Eight-cell D-size Ni-MH pack

This set supplies eight 1.2 V D cells rated at 10000 mAh each, delivered pre-charged to roughly 15–20 % capacity. The nickel-metal-hydride chemistry avoids the memory effect found in older rechargeable types. A low self-discharge design keeps about 85 % of the charge after one year of storage. The bundle includes four protective cases for transport and organisation.

10000 mAh per cell capacity

Each cell stores 10000 mAh, which determines how long high-drain devices such as large flashlights or portable radios can run before recharging. The supplier notes longer service in high-drain use compared with standard alkaline cells. No other capacity or voltage options are described in the data.

Four hard-shell cases included

The cases hold two D cells each, shielding the steel-shelled batteries from short circuits and physical damage during storage or travel. They add no electronic function but make the pack easier to organise in a tool bag or emergency kit.

Questions about this item

How long will the 10000mAh D cells actually power a high-drain device?

They deliver longer runtime in high-drain devices than standard alkaline D cells, and the Ni-MH chemistry has no memory effect so you can recharge at any point.

What does the 1.2V rating mean for devices that expect 1.5V alkalines?

Each cell provides a steady 1.2V under load, which most modern D-cell devices accept; the flat discharge curve keeps voltage stable through most of the cycle.

Will the eight cells and four cases fit in my existing D-cell battery drawer?

The pack includes eight standard-size D cells and four two-cell storage cases, all matching regular D dimensions for drawer or device compartments.
