Two-pack SmartSensor for ecobee thermostats

This two-pack adds remote temperature and occupancy sensing to any compatible ecobee thermostat. Place a sensor in the rooms you use most so the system can balance comfort where it matters. Each sensor communicates wirelessly with the thermostat from up to 60 ft through walls and floors. The pack includes two sensors, detachable stands, batteries, mounting brackets and an install guide.

Wireless sensors with battery power

Sensors run on the included batteries and connect without wiring, so installation takes seconds. The magnetic stand or adhesive wall bracket holds each unit at least 5 ft above the floor. Occupancy detection lets the thermostat adjust automatically when rooms are empty, reducing unnecessary heating or cooling. Freeze detection adds an extra layer of protection for pipes and pets.

Upgrade from a single thermostat location

Homes that rely on one built-in thermostat often leave bedrooms or nurseries too hot or too cold. Adding these sensors extends comfort control to those spaces and enables follow-me comfort that moves with you. The jump is worth it when you want room-by-room awareness without running wires or adding a second thermostat.

Questions about this item

How do I install the SmartSensor and what step is often missed?

Mount each sensor at least five feet above the floor using the magnetic stand or self-adhesive wall bracket; the step people miss is checking that the sensor stays within 60 ft of the thermostat through walls and floors.

What maintenance will the SmartSensor need later?

Replace the included battery when the ecobee app reports low power; no other routine maintenance is required.

What limit appears first during sustained use?

The wireless link drops if the sensor moves farther than 60 ft from the thermostat or if thick construction blocks the signal.
