Compact 87-Key Layout

The Dareu EK819 is a tenkeyless mechanical gaming keyboard with 87 keys and a wired USB connection. Removing the numeric keypad reduces the footprint to 354 by 128 millimetres, freeing desk space for mouse movement. The compact form suits gamers and office users who prefer a minimalist setup without sacrificing mechanical feel.

Wired USB Limitations

The fixed cable ties the keyboard to a single host and cannot be detached for transport or replacement. There is no wireless or Bluetooth option, so the board must remain within cable reach of the computer. Users who need multi-device pairing or a clutter-free desktop without cables will find this interface restrictive.

Aluminium Top and Double-Shot Keycaps

A single-piece aluminium top cover undergoes stamping, blasting, oxidation and printing, then passes salt-spray, grid and humidity tests for corrosion and sweat resistance. Double-colour injection moulded keycaps prevent legend wear over long-term use. Blue mechanical switches rated for 50 million keystrokes deliver tactile click feedback, though the audible click may disturb quiet environments.

Questions about this item

Is the 87-key layout or a full 104-key version better for a compact desk?

The 87-key layout removes the numeric keypad, making it smaller and lighter than a 104-key board while keeping all essential keys for gaming and typing.

What does the 50 million keystroke rating mean for daily use?

The Blue switches are rated for 50 million actuation cycles, indicating a long mechanical lifespan under heavy gaming or typing workloads.

How does the wired USB connection affect input speed?

The wired USB interface provides a direct, stable connection with no wireless latency or battery concerns for consistent response.
