CNC aluminium cage for GoPro HERO8 Black

This protective cage is built from CNC-machined aluminium alloy and fits the GoPro HERO8 Black. It adds a rigid frame that shields the camera during aerial photography and other demanding shoots. A 52 mm UV lens filter is included, and the cage accepts other 52 mm filters such as polarising lenses. The camera itself is not included.

Fixed seat and 1/4 inch thread simplify mounting

A fixed seat inside the cage lets you slide the camera in and secure it with the supplied screw. The base adapter and hot-shoe mount both provide standard 1/4 inch threads for tripods or accessories. Installation is straightforward, but the aluminium construction adds noticeable weight compared with plastic frames, which may affect balance on lightweight gimbals.

Suits creators needing rugged protection

The cage suits videographers who want durable overheating protection, secure mounting and the ability to stack 52 mm filters. It is less suited for users who prioritise minimal weight or who need a waterproof housing, because the open design does not seal the camera against water ingress.

Questions about this item

How do I confirm the cage is cooling the HERO8 Black properly after mounting?

The CNC aluminum alloy body is designed for good heat dissipation; if the camera runs without overheating shutdowns during extended recording, the cooling is working as intended.

What comes in the package and what must I buy separately?

The box includes the protective cage, lanyard, 52mm UV lens filter, screw, lens cap, hot shoe mount, base adapter, two small screws and the colour package box; the GoPro HERO8 Black camera itself is not included.

Which filter diameter should I choose for this cage?

The cage accepts 52mm diameter lenses, so select UV, polarising or filter lenses in that exact size.
