13 Gallon Hands-Free Trash Can

The Elama 510122406M is a 13 gallon automatic sensor trash can designed for homes, offices and kitchens. Its brushed silver metal body and plastic lid provide a 50 liter capacity for high-traffic areas. Infrared induction senses objects within a 30cm range to open the lid without touch. The lid auto-closes in 5 seconds once the area is clear.

Suited for Touch-Free Hygiene Needs

This unit suits users who want a hands-free waste solution with a generous capacity and a sleek brushed finish. The included touch button allows manual operation when preferred. Buyers who need a mains-powered unit should look elsewhere, as this model runs on four AA batteries that are not supplied. It also lacks a liner-retaining ring or carbon filter.

Battery Power and Manual Override

The trash can operates on four 1.5V AA batteries, enabling flexible placement without a nearby outlet. A touch button on the lid provides a manual open-and-close option if the sensor is blocked or for longer tasks. Side handles make the rounded rectangular unit easy to move between rooms. No additional accessories or software are bundled.

Questions about this item

What size bin liner fits the 13 gallon capacity?

Standard 13 gallon or 50 litre bin liners fit the interior dimensions of this can.

Will the infrared sensor still trigger if I keep an older pedal bin right beside it?

The sensor detects motion within a 30 cm zone directly in front of the lid, so a neighbouring pedal bin will not cause false openings.

How can I verify the auto-close timing is working correctly after I insert the batteries?

Wave your hand in front of the sensor; the lid should open and then shut automatically about 5 seconds after you move away.
