Questions about this item

Will the glazed porcelain finish chip or craze after months of daily microwave and dishwasher cycles?

The glazed porcelain is rated microwave safe and dishwasher safe, so it resists the heat and moisture cycles of everyday use without crazing.

How hot do the 10.5 inch dinner plates and 5.5 inch cereal bowls get when heated in the microwave?

Porcelain absorbs little microwave energy; the plates and bowls warm mainly from the food inside, staying cool enough to handle with bare hands.

Does the set include serving pieces or only the four place settings?

The 12 piece set contains four 10.5 inch dinner plates, four 8 inch salad plates and four 5.5 inch cereal bowls — no serving platters or bowls.
