Powered 15-inch speaker for live sound

The Electro-Voice ELX200-15P is a two-way powered loudspeaker designed for portable PA, stage monitoring and installed sound applications. A built-in 1200 W Class-D amplifier drives a 15-inch woofer and compression driver to deliver up to 132 dB peak SPL. QuickSmartDSP provides four system presets, three-band EQ, five user presets, limiter monitoring and master volume control via an onboard LCD or the EV QuickSmart Mobile app for wireless configuration of up to six speakers simultaneously.

Bluetooth availability varies by country

Wireless control and monitoring through the EV QuickSmart Mobile application relies on Bluetooth connectivity that is only enabled in select countries. In regions where Bluetooth is not available, the app cannot be used for remote setup, preset changes or real-time limiter status alerts. All core DSP functions including presets, EQ, input metering and master volume remain fully accessible from the speaker’s front-panel LCD interface regardless of Bluetooth status.

Verify mounting hardware and power requirements

The enclosure includes three M10 threaded points for forged eyebolts and an integrated pole mount for stand or subwoofer-top placement. Ensure your rigging hardware matches the M10 specification and that the mounting structure is rated for the speaker’s weight. Confirm the local mains voltage matches the amplifier’s input rating before connecting to power. If wireless app control is essential, check that Bluetooth operation is permitted in your country.

Questions about this item

Should I choose the 15-inch or a different size for my setup?

The 15-inch driver provides extended low-frequency response and higher output suitable for larger venues or front-of-house use, while smaller models trade some bass extension for portability.

What does the 132 dB peak SPL figure mean when I am mixing live?

It indicates the maximum short-term output the cabinet can reach before limiting engages, giving you headroom for transients in a full band mix without distortion.

How does the integrated DSP connect to the QuickSmart Mobile app?

Bluetooth connectivity lets you adjust presets, EQ, limiter status and master volume wirelessly from a phone or tablet for up to six speakers simultaneously.
