GPS Tracker SIM for Van Locator

The ElectroFlip GPS.cards SIM activates the GlobusGPS GL-650 portable van tracker and works with over 1500 GPS tracker models across all makes. It provides cellular connectivity on 4G, 3G, 2G and LTE CatM1 bands so the tracker can report its position online. The package includes access to the GPScards mobile app and a GPS server website for monitoring. This all-in-one SIM turns a dormant tracker into a live locating device.

Continuous Tracking Behaviour

The SIM delivers unlimited data for sustained location reporting rather than burst transmissions. It supports real-time movement updates on Google Maps along with historical route playback through the app or web portal. Alerts for low battery, speeding, geofence exits, parking and motion events are pushed continuously to the mobile app. The multi-band cellular fallback maintains the connection when the tracker moves between coverage areas during extended use.

Simple Activation and Setup

The 3-in-1 form factor fits nano, micro and standard SIM slots without adapters. Activation is handled by the provider, who completes the device configuration remotely so no manual APN entry is required. The tracker begins reporting once powered on with the SIM inserted. The only common issue occurs if the tracker hardware itself is incompatible with the supported cellular bands or lacks an active data plan on the SIM.

Questions about this item

How much power does the 4G, 3G and 2G modem draw when the tracker runs all day?

The SIM card itself draws no measurable power; all consumption comes from the GL-650 tracker’s own cellular module.

Does the 3-in-1 nano, micro and standard form factor fit the GlobusGPS GL-650 slot without an adapter?

Yes, the perforated card snaps to the exact size the GL-650 requires, so no separate adapter is needed.

Will the GPScards mobile app and Google Maps tracking work with a 2G-only tracker I already own?

The SIM connects on 2G, 3G or 4G, but the tracker must support data sessions; purely voice-only 2G units will not report positions.
