Deluxe Edition Upgrade for Xbox One

This downloadable upgrade converts the standard Need for Speed: Payback game into the Deluxe Edition on Xbox One. It is intended for players who already own the base title and want the extra customisation items, Rep bonuses and in-game discounts that come with the higher tier.

Content behaviour during extended play

The upgrade unlocks the Upcoming Story Mission Pack and Platinum Car Pack, adding new missions and exclusive vanity items such as Platinum Blue underglow and tyre smoke. Five starter shipments deliver immediate resources, while a permanent 10 percent discount on in-game purchases and a 5 percent Rep bonus accelerate progression throughout the whole campaign.

Installation and common issues

The product is a digital code redeemed through the Xbox One store; no physical media or additional downloads beyond the base game are required. The most frequent problem occurs when buyers attempt to activate the code without owning Need for Speed: Payback on the same platform, which the DRM prevents.

Questions about this item

How much power does the download code draw once installed on my Xbox One?

The DLC itself consumes no power; only the console and its drive use electricity while the game runs.

What must I already own for this Deluxe Edition Upgrade to work on Xbox One?

You need the base game Need for Speed: Payback installed on the same Xbox One account.

Will the Platinum Car Pack and story missions work if I keep playing on an original Xbox One instead of a newer console?

Yes, the upgrade runs on any Xbox One that already plays the base game.
