Co-op Action Adventure

Split Fiction is an Xbox Series X game rated T for Teen that places two players in the roles of writers Mio and Zoe. A machine designed to harvest their creativity malfunctions, trapping them inside their own imaginative worlds. The experience is built for shared play from the studio that created the 2021 Game of the Year winner It Takes Two.

Disc-Based Delivery Limits

The title ships on physical media for Xbox Series X, so installation speed depends on the console's Blu-ray drive and internal SSD. An internet connection is required for any day-one patches or online co-op matchmaking. Offline play is restricted to local split-screen or single-controller handoff modes.

Straightforward Installation

Insert the disc, follow the on-screen prompts, and the game installs to the internal storage. Common issues include insufficient free space on the SSD and network errors that block the initial update. Players without a second controller or Xbox Live Gold cannot access the core co-op campaign.
