Beginner Heart Soldering Kit

The Electronix Express Emotional Heart kit is a beginner-level STEM toy that teaches basic soldering through a heart-shaped printed circuit board. It includes twelve red LEDs and all necessary components plus an English assembly manual. A nine-volt battery or compatible wall adapter powers the completed project.

Who This Suits and Who Should Look Elsewhere

This kit suits children and adult beginners who want hands-on soldering practice with a playful, interactive result. It is not for buyers who need a ready-to-use device without assembly, or anyone who wants a kit that includes the soldering iron and solder.

Installation Ease and Common Issues

Assembly requires a soldering iron and solder, which are not supplied, so the builder must provide their own tools. The manual is in English and the through-hole parts are straightforward for a first-time builder. The most common issue is forgetting to purchase the nine-volt battery or the optional wall adapter separately.

Questions about this item

What power source does the Emotional Heart kit need to run?

It requires a 9V battery or the optional 9V/400mA wall adapter (part 16DPMW270013); neither is included.

Will the kit work if I only have a standard soldering iron and solder at home?

Yes, the kit includes all components and the English manual; you only need to supply your own soldering iron and solder.

How can I verify the board is functioning correctly after assembly?

Power it up — the 12 red LEDs should flash randomly, and touching the centre of the heart should make them flash faster.
