Dual reader controller for access systems
The ELENE LNL-X4420 manages two reader ports and four Form-C relay outputs for door control. It accepts eight inputs configurable as supervised or unsupervised with standard end-of-line resistors. Primary power operates from 12 to 24 VDC with a 550 mA maximum draw excluding reader current.
Ethernet and USB host links with flash storage
Primary host communication uses 10/100 Ethernet supporting DHCP and fixed IP addressing plus DNS naming. A secondary USB 2.0 port allows an optional Ethernet adapter for redundancy. Onboard non-volatile flash provides 96 MB for badge data and 50,000 battery-backed events with optional encryption.
RS-485 reader bus and current limits
Reader ports connect via RS-485 at 9,600 to 115,200 bps half-duplex with a 600 mA combined current limit added to primary supply needs. Relay contacts switch up to 5 A at 30 VDC resistive. Buyers needing more than 32,000 access records or additional reader ports must consider a larger controller.

Questions about this item
What communication speed does the RS-485 interface on the LNL-X4420 support?
The RS-485 interface operates from 9,600 to 115,200 bps in asynchronous half-duplex mode with 1 start bit and 8 data bits.
How much current do the reader ports on the LNL-X4420 draw, and what power supply range is required?
Each reader port draws up to 600 mA, which adds to the primary power requirement of 12 to 24 VDC ±10% at 550 mA maximum excluding readers.
How is the LNL-X4420 connected to the host network, and what addressing modes are supported?
The primary host connection uses 10/100Base-TX Ethernet with support for both DHCP and fixed IP addressing, plus DNS naming via DHCP extended commands.
