The elgato U168-1 Silver capture card converts HDMI video signals into a USB 3.0 or USB-C stream for Windows, macOS and Linux computers. It targets streamers, gamers and remote workers who need to record or broadcast gameplay, camera feeds or desktop output at up to 1080p60.

Bundled Accessories

The package includes a USB 3.0 to USB-C adapter and a user manual so the device can connect to both Type-A and Type-C ports without extra cables. No driver installation or external power supply is required, making the kit ready to use with OBS, Zoom, Twitch Studio and similar software immediately.

Interface Limits

Video capture tops out at 1080p60 or 2K30 even though the HDMI input accepts a 4K30 signal, so 4K recording is not possible. The USB 3.0 link provides the bandwidth for the stated resolutions but does not support higher frame rates or uncompressed 4K throughput.
