Cyan high-yield ink cartridge

This cyan ink cartridge replaces the HP 951XL CN046AN and fits HP Officejet Pro 8100 and 8600 series printers. It is an aftermarket unit supplied new and rated for approximately 1500 pages. The cartridge is manufactured under ISO certified processes.

Home offices and small businesses

The cartridge suits users who print regular colour documents and want a lower-cost alternative to the original HP supply. It is not intended for buyers who require genuine HP consumables for warranty compliance or specialised photo output.

1500-page approximate yield

The quoted yield of roughly 1500 pages is the key figure for deciding whether this cartridge matches your print volume. If your typical monthly output is far higher, a higher-capacity option may be more economical.

Questions about this item

How do I install the Elite Image 75890 cartridge in my HP Officejet 8600, and what step do people often miss?

Open the ink access door, wait for the carriage to stop moving, remove the old cartridge, pull the orange tab on the new Elite Image 75890 to remove the seal, slide it into the cyan slot until it clicks, then close the door and let the printer run its alignment routine.

What maintenance or replacement will the Elite Image 75890 need after the 1500-page yield is reached?

The cartridge itself is a single-use item; once the 1500-page yield is depleted you replace the whole Elite Image 75890 cartridge — no internal parts are serviceable.

What limit shows up first when printing continuously with the Elite Image 75890 in an HP Officejet Pro 8600?

The 1500-page rated yield is the first hard limit; after that volume the cyan ink is exhausted and print quality drops until the cartridge is replaced.
