Purpose-built visual presenter

The ELMO 1433 is a document camera designed for educators and remote presenters who need to share physical documents or objects over USB. It captures 1080p Full HD at up to 15fps and 720p at up to 30fps for smoother motion. A built-in microphone and plug-and-play operation make it an all-in-one solution for distance learning setups.

Upgrade from basic webcams

This unit replaces a standard webcam when the task requires showing paperwork, textbooks or three-dimensional items with accurate colour reproduction. The 8x digital zoom via software lets you isolate fine details without moving the camera head. The jump is worth it for anyone who regularly presents written material or demonstrations rather than just a face.

Sustained classroom use

The lens maintains focus from 100mm to infinity, keeping text sharp across the entire working range during long sessions. Effective resolution of 3280 x 2464 pixels supports 1000 TV lines or more for consistent clarity. Folded dimensions of 11.4" x 3.2" x 0.9" allow the device to stay permanently mounted on a desk without obstructing the workspace between classes.

Questions about this item

How much desk space does the 13.5 by 3.2 inch footprint need when the OX-1 is set up?

The camera measures 13.5 inches wide by 3.2 inches deep in its setup position, so allow at least that much flat surface plus room for the USB cable.

What is the first step to get the 1080p 15fps video working on a laptop?

Plug the USB cable into the computer; the OX-1 is plug-and-play with no driver installation required for 1080p at 15fps or 720p at 30fps.

Does the built-in microphone ever need servicing or replacement?

The microphone is integrated into the body and has no user-serviceable parts; if audio quality degrades, the whole unit would need professional repair.
