22-inch open-frame touch monitor

The Elo Touch Solutions E297107 is a 22-inch class open-frame LCD monitor with a 21.5-inch viewable area. It uses TouchPro projected capacitive technology supporting 10-point multi-touch input. The Full HD panel runs at 1920 x 1080 resolution with a 16:9 aspect ratio. It is built for OEMs and system integrators embedding displays into kiosks or industrial equipment.

Sustained operation with drift-free touch

The display is designed for stable, drift-free operation during continuous use, maintaining accurate touch responses over long periods. A 14 ms response time handles typical interactive workloads without ghosting. Industrial-grade components target reliable performance in commercial kiosk, gaming, automation and healthcare environments where the screen runs for extended hours.

Simple integration via HDMI and VESA

An HDMI port provides the video connection, while the open-frame chassis allows direct mounting into custom enclosures or kiosk cabinets. The 90-Series design follows standard mounting patterns familiar to systems integrators. Common issues include ensuring the host graphics output matches the native 1920 x 1080 resolution and verifying that the mechanical cut-out aligns with the 21.5-inch viewable dimensions.

Questions about this item

How much heat or noise does the 2294L produce during continuous all-day operation?

The monitor uses a TFT LCD panel with a 14 ms response time and has no moving parts, so it runs silently and generates minimal heat suitable for enclosed kiosk installations.

What external components must I already have to operate this open-frame unit?

You need a video source with HDMI output and a separate power supply; the display itself has no built-in compute module unless you add the optional Elo Backpack.

Will the 10-point projected-capacitive touch layer work with my existing Windows 7 kiosk software?

The TouchPro PCAP controller presents as a standard HID device, so it is compatible with legacy Windows versions that support multi-touch digitizers without custom drivers.
