Elo Touch Solutions E326347 1790L 17" open-frame point of sale monitor 5-wire resistive RevB

17-inch open-frame POS monitor

The Elo 1790L is a 17-inch open-frame LCD touchscreen designed for point-of-sale systems and kiosk integration. It uses a 5-wire resistive AccuTouch layer for single-touch input and a 1280 x 1024 SXGA panel with LED backlight. The sealed construction resists dust and liquids, while the slim 1.87-inch depth helps it fit tight enclosures.

Replaces older CCFL or bulkier resistive units

This model upgrades installations that still rely on thicker, higher-heat backlights or non-sealed bezels. The 17.80 W operating draw and 250 cd/m² brightness suit continuous retail or industrial use where power and heat are constrained. The jump is worth it when the enclosure demands a 5:4 aspect ratio, front-mount or rack-mount flexibility, and long-term supply stability backed by 50,000-hour MTBF testing.

Front-mount brackets and standard video cables

The package supplies HDMI, VGA and DisplayPort cables plus a USB touch cable and an RJ45 OSD remote, so integration typically needs only a single video and USB connection. VESA compatibility adds mounting options if the supplied L-brackets do not suit the cabinet. Common issues arise when the host expects multi-touch gestures or when the 5-wire resistive layer is calibrated for a different resolution than the native 1280 x 1024.
