40GBase-CR4 PCI-Express adapter

The Emulex OCE14401-NX is a fourth-generation OneConnect network adapter delivering 40GbE connectivity over a single PCI-Express slot. It is built for enterprise cloud environments that need high-density virtualisation and secure multi-tenant scalability.

Suits virtualised cloud servers.

This card suits administrators deploying high-density virtualisation who require user-controlled bandwidth partitioning across workloads. Buyers whose infrastructure only supports 10GbE uplinks or who need a different physical connector should look at other adapters.

Single-slot 40GBase-CR4 interface

The decisive specification is the 40GBase-CR4 interface provided through one expansion slot. This determines whether the adapter matches the switch port speed and cabling already installed in the rack.

Questions about this item

Is the OCE14401-NX the right choice if I need a single 40GBase-CR4 port?

Yes, this card provides exactly one 40GBase-CR4 port on a single PCI-Express slot, matching the 14401 model specification.

What throughput can I expect from the 40GBase-CR4 link once installed?

The adapter delivers 40 GbE line-rate connectivity for cloud and virtualisation workloads.

Which PCI-Express generation does the OCE14401-NX use and what bandwidth does that provide?

The card uses a PCI-Express interface as listed; the 40GBase-CR4 speed is the limiting factor for throughput.
