Dell Emulex dual-port 10 GbE bNDC

This Dell Emulex OCm14102B-U4-D adapter provides two 10 GbE ports in a single bNDC form factor for rack-mount servers. It suits administrators who need high-throughput networking without consuming a PCIe slot. The card is new, tested and shipped with updated firmware. It targets environments where 10 GbE connectivity is required for virtualisation, storage or backup traffic.

Replaces single-port or 1 GbE mezzanine cards

The jump is worthwhile when a server has an available bNDC bay and the workload demands more bandwidth than a single 10 GbE link or multiple 1 GbE links can deliver. It does not fit systems that lack the proprietary bNDC connector or that require a standard PCIe add-in card. Buyers needing fibre-channel or InfiniBand interfaces should look elsewhere.
