EN-Labs 20Gbps USB 3.2 Type-C and 2x USB-A 5Gbps Adapter Cable with PCIe Bracket
Converts internal USB 3.2 Type-E and 19-pin headers to one 20Gbps USB-C and two 5Gbps USB-A ports with a PCIe bracket
- 20Gbps data transfer via USB 3.2 Gen 2x2 Type-C port
- Two USB-A ports each delivering 5Gbps throughput
- 64ft cable reaches from motherboard headers to rear bracket
- Connects to internal USB 3.2 Type-E and 19-pin headers
- Full-profile PCIe bracket secures ports to case exterior
What this adapter adds to a desktop
This EN-Labs cable converts an internal motherboard USB 3.2 Type-E header into a rear-panel USB-C port and a USB 3.0 19-pin header into two USB-A ports. It mounts through a full-profile PCIe bracket so the ports sit at the back of the case. The kit is for PC builders who want front-panel speed at the rear I/O area.
Header requirement that decides fit
Your motherboard must provide both a USB 3.2 Type-E A-key header and a USB 3.0 19-pin header; without both the adapter cannot function. The Type-C side runs at USB 3.2 Gen 2x2 20Gbps while the two USB-A ports operate at 5Gbps. The cable length between headers and bracket is 1.64 feet.
Thermals noise and power in normal use
The adapter is a passive cable assembly with no active components so it generates no measurable heat and produces no audible noise. It draws power only from the motherboard headers to run connected peripherals. The supplier notes that DisplayPort Alternate Mode, audio, video output and Thunderbolt are not supported.

Questions about this item
What does the 20 Gbps Type-C port actually deliver when connected to a motherboard Type-E header?
The Type-C port runs at USB 3.2 Gen 2x2 speed, giving up to 20 Gbps data transfer provided the motherboard header supports that standard.
How does the USB 3.2 Type-E header limit the adapter's performance in practice?
The adapter requires a motherboard USB 3.2 Type-E header; the port's 20 Gbps ceiling is only reached when that header supplies Gen 2x2 signalling.
What space and mounting hardware are needed to install the bracket in a case?
A full-profile PCIe bracket slot is required; the 1.64 ft cables reach from the motherboard headers to the rear-panel cut-out.
