Model-specific fit

This hard-shell case is engineered exclusively for the 12-inch MacBook with Retina display carrying model number A1534 from the 2015, 2016 and 2017 releases. Buyers must verify the A1xxx code on the underside of their machine before ordering because the case will not fit any other MacBook model.

Protection and access

The two-piece plastic shell covers both the top and bottom surfaces while leaving every port fully accessible and allowing the lid to open completely. A fully vented construction promotes heat dissipation and the matte black finish adds a semi-translucent texture that slides smoothly in and out of a bag.

Snap-on installation

The case snaps on and removes without tools, making it simple to swap or clean. The tight, model-specific moulding means forcing it onto an incompatible unit can crack the shell or stress the laptop chassis, so confirming the exact A1534 identifier is the only step that prevents damage.

Questions about this item

Will the hard plastic top and bottom covers crack after repeated removal?

The hard plastic covers are designed for repeated removal and reinstallation; handle them carefully around the edges to avoid stress fractures.

Does the fully vented design still allow heat to escape during all-day use?

Yes, the fully vented construction lets the MacBook 12-inch A1534 dissipate heat normally while the case remains fitted.

Does the matte black finish show fingerprints or scuffs after daily carry?

The matte black surface resists obvious fingerprints and minor scuffs better than glossy finishes, though heavy abrasion can still mark it.
