Pure copper 70x20x3.0mm heatsink with 401W/mk conductivity cools M.2 2280 NVMe SSDs in laptops and tight spaces
This 70x20x3.0mm copper heatsink fits M.2 2280 NVMe and NGFF SSDs. It includes a thermal pad and three rubber rings for secure mounting. The slim 3.0mm profile suits laptops and other tight spaces where standard coolers cannot fit. Builders needing taller fin stacks or active fans should look elsewhere.
Pure copper rated at 401W/mk conducts heat away from the controller and NAND faster than aluminium rated at 237W/mk. The pad fills microscopic gaps so heat moves efficiently into the metal. No fan or pump is required, so the solution adds zero noise and zero power draw to the system. It cannot match the cooling capacity of active liquid blocks.
The heatsink ships as a single 70x20mm copper plate with pre-applied adhesive on the thermal pad. Three rubber rings wrap around the drive and heatsink to maintain pressure without screws. The 3.0mm thickness clears most laptop motherboards and low-profile expansion cards. Installers must verify their SSD chip area measures close to 70x20mm before fitting.

Clean the SSD surface, peel the thermal pad, place it on the controller and NAND, press the pure copper heatsink on top, then secure it with the three supplied rubber rings.
The included normal thermal pad can dry out after a year or two of heavy use; swap it for a fresh pad of the same thickness when temperatures start climbing.
The 401 W/mk copper spreads heat fast, but with only 70x20mm surface area and no airflow it saturates once the drive sustains maximum throughput for several minutes.
