Magnetic attachment and Bluetooth 5.3

The Energizer BTS055 is a portable Bluetooth speaker with a built-in magnet that attaches directly to a smartphone or metal surface. It weighs 160 grams and measures 2.45 in by 2.45 in by 1.45 in. Bluetooth 5.3 provides a stable connection up to 33 ft. The active 5 W driver covers a response bandwidth of 18 KHz. It is suited for listeners who want music and calls without a separate stand.

Replaces a phone speaker and a separate stand

The magnetic back removes the need for a kickstand or flat surface while the speaker upgrades the phone’s tiny driver to 5 W output. True wireless stereo pairing lets two units combine for wider sound when a single unit feels narrow. The jump is worth it when you regularly take calls or play media outdoors and want louder, clearer audio without carrying extra bulk.

IPX6 water resistance and 360-degree pairing

IPX6 rating means the speaker handles rain, splashes and dust without failure. A built-in microphone supports hands-free calls in quiet rooms. Stereo pairing creates a 360-degree sound field from two units. The 5 W driver runs out in loud outdoor spaces or large rooms where higher output is needed, and the single driver cannot reproduce deep sub-bass.

Questions about this item

What size metal surface does the 2.45 in square speaker need to hold its magnetic mount?

The speaker measures 2.45 in by 2.45 in by 1.45 in and uses a built-in magnet to attach to any flat metal area at least that wide, such as a fridge door or phone back.

How do I pair two BTS055 units for true wireless stereo, and what step do users often miss?

Turn on both speakers, double-press the power button on one to enter TWS mode, then select the single combined device in your phone's Bluetooth 5.3 menu; the missed step is waiting for the tone before opening the phone menu.

How do I clean the IPX6-rated speaker after beach or pool use, and what part will eventually wear out?

Rinse the sealed 160 g body under fresh water and dry the charging port; the internal lithium-ion battery is not user-replaceable and will lose capacity after several hundred charge cycles.
