Fireproof Storage Bench

The ENGPOW EG052 is a rectangular ottoman bench measuring 43 by 15 by 15 inches and weighing 10 pounds. It combines a seating surface with a lockable, fireproof interior chest. The structure uses engineered wood and a faux leather exterior over silicone coated fiberglass. A three digit combination lock secures the zippered lid.

Upgrade From Basic Storage

Standard fabric ottomans offer no fire resistance and rarely include a locking mechanism. This bench withstands temperatures up to 2200 and meets UL94 certification via SGS testing. The jump is worth it when you need to protect documents, cash or electronics from both fire and water damage in a single piece of furniture.

Build Integration

The bench supports up to 700 pounds, so it functions as everyday seating in a living room, bedroom or garage. Two included storage boxes and internal mesh pockets organise smaller items inside the main cavity. Integrated handles allow relocation while loaded, and the fold flat design simplifies initial setup or seasonal storage.

Questions about this item

How much floor space does the 43 by 15 inch footprint need?

The bench measures 43 inches deep, 15 inches wide and 15 inches high, so allow at least that rectangle plus a few inches for the handles and lock.

What is the step people miss when setting the combination lock?

You must snap the zipper into the lock hole before pressing the reset button at 0-0-0, then set your code and push the button toward the arrow until it clicks.

When should the silicone coated fiberglass layer be checked or replaced?

The fireproof material is rated to 2200 and SGS tested to UL94; inspect after any heat exposure and replace if the coating is cracked or delaminated.
