Hand-Knotted Wool Navy Rug

The EORC Super Mahal rug is a hand-knotted wool area rug in a deep navy colour with traditional Oriental patterning. Its rectangular 9' x 12' dimensions suit larger living rooms, dining areas, bedrooms or home offices. The dense pile is crafted for durability and low shedding in medium to high-traffic spaces. This piece arrives new and is made in India.

Practical Limits of Hand-Knotted Wool

Wool fibres provide natural resilience and softness but require specific care to maintain appearance. The manufacturer advises spot cleaning only with cold water and mild soap. Regular vacuuming on a low pile setting is recommended to prevent fibre damage. Prolonged direct sunlight exposure should be avoided to prevent colour fading over time.

9' x 12' Rectangle Format

The single specification that determines fit is the 9' x 12' rectangular footprint. This size covers a substantial floor area and dictates furniture placement options within a room. Buyers needing a smaller accent rug or a runner shape for a hallway will find this format unsuitable. Verify room dimensions and furniture layout before purchase to ensure proper coverage.

Questions about this item

Should I choose the 9' x 12' rectangle for a large living room?

The 9' x 12' rectangle covers a generous floor area, anchoring seating groups in spacious living rooms, open-plan dining areas or master bedrooms with balanced proportions.

How does the hand-knotted wool pile feel and perform daily?

Dense hand-tied knots create a plush, resilient surface that stays flat, sheds very little and withstands medium to high foot traffic while remaining soft underfoot.

What cleaning routine does the wool construction require?

Vacuum regularly on a low-pile setting, spot-clean spills immediately with cold water and mild soap, and keep the rug out of prolonged direct sunlight to preserve colour.
