Compact 68-Key Hall Effect Keyboard

The Epomaker HE68 Lite is a 68-key wired gaming keyboard that uses magnetic Hall Effect switches instead of traditional mechanical contacts. It connects over USB-C and is aimed at competitive players who want per-key actuation adjustment and rapid trigger response in a compact layout.

8000 Hz Polling and 128000 Scan Rate Limits

The keyboard reports at 8000 Hz and scans each key at 128000 Hz, yielding a claimed 0.125 ms latency. This speed only materialises when the host controller and cable sustain the full polling rate; older USB ports or hubs will fall back to lower rates and the advantage disappears.

Plastic Build with Snap Key Mounting

The case is plastic and uses a snap-in keycap mount that allows quick removal for cleaning or switch lubrication. Five internal damping layers reduce hollow resonance, while shine-through PBT keycaps resist shine and keep legends visible under the A-RGB backlight.

Questions about this item

Should I pick the 65 %, 68-key or 75 % layout for the HE68 Lite?

The HE68 Lite is offered only in a 68-key 65 % layout, so there is no layout choice to make for this model.

What does the 8,000 Hz polling and 128,000 scan rate actually deliver in use?

They combine to give 0.125 ms latency and per-key scans fast enough to capture rapid-fire sequences without missed inputs.

What does the USB-C connection cap in practice?

The wired USB-C link supports the full 8,000 Hz polling and 128,000 scan rate with no wireless bandwidth limit.
