Desktop thermal printer prints receipts at 170 mm/sec and liner-free labels at 90 mm/sec on 40, 58 or 80 mm media with USB and Serial interfaces
The Epson TM-L90 prints both liner-free labels and standard receipts from one unit. It supports media widths of 40 mm, 58 mm and 80 mm with automatic detection of paper type and width. Print speed reaches 170 mm per second for receipts and 90 mm per second for labels at 203 dpi resolution. The printer is suited to quick-service restaurants, food service and retail counters needing sticky labels without a separate machine.
The desktop housing measures 8.00 by 5.50 by 5.80 inches and weighs 4.18 lbs, fitting on a counter without dominating the workspace. Connectivity uses a USB port and a serial port for direct integration with POS terminals or legacy systems. Media rolls up to 4.00 inches in diameter load from the top, and the mechanism is rated for 70 million lines of receipt printing and 35 million lines of label printing. Power is supplied by an external 24 VDC adapter drawing approximately 1.7 A mean current.
Verify that your label stock matches the supported widths of 40 mm, 58 mm or 80 mm and that you are using Epson-tested liner-free adhesive media or standard thermal receipt paper. The supplied driver list covers Windows 7, Vista and XP only; newer operating systems may require a separate driver download or virtualisation. Ensure the host system provides a free USB or serial port and can supply the required 24 VDC power input. Buyers needing wireless, Ethernet or Bluetooth connectivity will need a different model.

The USB and Serial interfaces do not cap label throughput; the printer tops out at 90 mm/sec for labels regardless of which port is used.
The unit occupies an 8.00" wide by 5.50" deep footprint and stands 5.80" tall, so allow at least that much clear desk area plus room for the roll cover to open.
Connect the 24 VDC power supply, attach USB or Serial cable, load 40 mm, 58 mm or 80 mm media, then run the driver install so the automatic media-type and width detection can calibrate — skipping the driver install is the step most people forget.
