Hybrid induction and ceramic cooktop

The Equator Appliances EHC 23422 is a 24 inch built-in cooktop that combines two induction burners with two ceramic zones. It suits cooks who want magnetic precision for rapid boiling and radiant warmth for gentle simmering in a single appliance. The hybrid layout lets you match the heat method to each dish without needing separate units.

7100 W shared power with 2700 W boost

Total output reaches 7100 W across four burners, with individual zones capable of a 2700 W boost for fast heating. Auto power sharing distributes the load to keep every burner responsive while staying within the circuit limit. Nine power levels and a 99 minute timer per zone give fine control, though simultaneous high-power use on all zones will hit the shared ceiling.

220 V supply and 3.1 by 22 by 19.5 inch cut-out

This model requires a 220 V electrical connection and a countertop opening of 3.1 inches by 22 inches by 19.5 inches. The unit itself stands 2.2 inches high and spans 23 inches wide. Buyers without a 220 V circuit or a cut-out matching those exact dimensions cannot install it.

Questions about this item

Will this 24-inch cooktop fit the 22-by-19.5-inch cut-out I already have?

The unit is 23 inches wide and 2.2 inches high with a required cut-out of 3.1 by 22 by 19.5 inches, so your opening is slightly narrower than specified.

How can I confirm the auto power sharing is balancing the 7100W total across all four burners?

The touch panel shows the active power level for each zone; when multiple burners run, the display adjusts levels to keep combined draw within the 7100W limit.

Does the box include the 220V power cable or must I source it separately?

The cooktop ships with a factory-fitted 220V supply cable; no separate cord purchase is needed for standard hard-wired installation.
