What this hard hat protects

The DELTAPLUS Omega II hard hat meets ANSI Z 89.1 Type 1 Class E requirements for impact and electrical insulation. A six-point pinlock suspension spreads force across the shell. The high-visibility lime shell improves worker conspicuity on active sites.

Fit and ventilation

The polyethylene shell fits head sizes from 6-1/2 to 8 using the adjustable pinlock system. No vent openings are present, so the hat retains its full dielectric rating. The full brim deflects falling debris and shields the face from sun and rain.

Standard that governs use

Compliance with ANSI Z 89.1 Type 1 Class E is the single specification that determines whether this hat satisfies a site safety plan. Buyers needing Type 2 lateral impact rating or a vented shell for heat stress management must select a different model.

Questions about this item

How do I install the 6-point pinlock suspension in the Omega II hard hat, and which step is most often done wrong?

Press each of the six pins firmly into its matching slot until you hear a click; the step most often missed is leaving one pin partially seated, which leaves the suspension loose.

What maintenance or replacement will the Omega II hard hat need over time?

Inspect the polyethylene shell and 6-point pinlock suspension before every use; replace the entire hat if the shell shows cracks, gouges, or UV chalking, or if any pinlock pin no longer locks securely.

What limit appears first when the Omega II hard hat is worn continuously in hot, sunny conditions?

Prolonged UV exposure can degrade the polyethylene shell, causing chalking and brittleness that reduces impact protection before the suspension or pinlock components wear out.
