Compatible Lamp for Mitsubishi Projectors

The eReplacements VLT-XD700LP-ER is a new compatible front projector lamp designed for Mitsubishi WD720U, XD700U, FD730U and UD740U models. It serves as a direct replacement for the original OEM lamp module. Users with these specific projector models can install this lamp to restore brightness. It is not intended for projectors outside the listed compatibility range.

Rated 2000 Hour Lamp Life

The lamp carries a rated life of 2000 hours under normal operating conditions. As a projector lamp, it generates heat during use and relies on the projector's internal cooling system to maintain safe temperatures. The unit includes internal safety features designed to protect the projector from electrical hazards. No separate power draw or noise specifications are provided for the lamp itself.

User Replaceable Module in Plastic Housing

The lamp ships inside a plastic housing engineered to fit the compatible Mitsubishi projectors precisely. Installation is user replaceable by following the projector manual instructions. The housing design frees the owner from sourcing a bare bulb and handling fragile components. No additional tools or adapters are required beyond what the projector manufacturer specifies for lamp replacement.

Questions about this item

How do I install the VLT-XD700LP-ER lamp in my Mitsubishi WD720U and what step do people often miss?

The lamp is user replaceable; power off the projector, remove the old lamp module, insert the new VLT-XD700LP-ER, and reset the lamp hour counter in the menu — skipping the reset is the step most often missed.

What maintenance or replacement will the VLT-XD700LP-ER need after extended use?

The lamp is rated for 2000 hours of operation; once that limit is reached you replace the entire lamp module — no other consumable parts are required for this unit.

What limit appears first when running the VLT-XD700LP-ER continuously in a Mitsubishi XD700U?

The 2000-hour lamp life rating is the first limit you will encounter; after those hours brightness drops and the projector will prompt for a new lamp.
