On-site hydration carrier

The Ergodyne Squids 19775 is a neoprene holder that secures a standard 16.9oz bottle or aerosol can to a belt or harness. Its open-top design allows quick drinking while the adjustable buckle strap keeps the container from falling during elevated work. A zinc-plated D-ring on the back accepts a tool lanyard to complete a tethering system. Third-party certification confirms a 2lb maximum capacity.

Compatibility check points

Verify that your tool belt or fall-protection harness has a suitable clip or loop for the stainless-steel belt clip. Confirm the container diameter fits within the stretch range of the neoprene sleeve for 0.5L bottles or similar cans. Ensure the ANSI/ISEA 121-2018 dropped-object standard matches your site safety requirements. The D-ring is sized for standard lanyard carabiners.

Upgrade from loose carry

Replaces unsecured bottles, makeshift koozies or tape jobs that cannot meet tethering rules. The jump is worth it when regulations demand certified drop prevention at height or when frequent access to spray cans and water is needed without setting them down. Not suited for users who need insulated cooling, multiple-container storage or hands-free drinking tubes.

Questions about this item

What comes with the Squid Can & Bottle Holder Trap 19775 and is anything else needed to use it?

The holder ships as one complete unit with an integrated stainless-steel belt clip and a zinc-plated D-ring for a tool lanyard; no extra parts are required for basic attachment to a belt or harness.

How do I decide whether the 2 lb capacity version is right for my containers?

The holder is third-party certified to a 2 lb (0.9 kg) maximum capacity and stretches to fit standard 16.9 oz (0.5 L) water bottles, spray-paint cans, WD-40 canisters and similarly sized items.

What does the ANSI/ISEA 121-2018 approval mean when I am working at height?

It confirms the holder meets the dropped-object prevention standard for tethering systems, so the D-ring and belt clip are rated to keep a secured bottle or can from falling when used as directed.
