Wired Aluminum Keyboard with USB Hub

The Ergoguys FK318B is a full-size wired keyboard built around an aluminum chassis in Space Gray. It connects through a USB Type A cable and includes a built-in two-port USB 2.0 hub for a mouse, dongle or flash drive. The layout follows the classic Apple aluminum style with an integrated numeric keypad and Mac-friendly function keys.

Volume dial precision under daily use

A high-precision volume dial provides 64 discrete steps compared with 16 levels from the standard volume keys. That four-fold granularity remains consistent during long sessions, so audio adjustments stay predictable whether you are editing video or managing background music. The USB hub ports maintain steady connectivity for attached peripherals without drop-outs over extended periods.

Check Mac OS support and desk depth

The keyboard is designed for Mac OS and uses a fixed USB Type A cable, so verify your machine has an available Type A port or a reliable adapter. At 17.35 inches wide and 4.58 inches deep it needs adequate desk space, and the low 0.75-inch profile may feel different if you are used to taller keycaps. The package includes the keyboard and a user manual only.

Questions about this item

Does the built-in USB 2.0 hub add noticeable heat or power draw when a mouse and flash drive stay plugged in all day?

The keyboard draws power from a single USB Type A port and its integrated 2.0 hub is designed for low-power peripherals such as a mouse or flash drive, so extra heat or power consumption remains minimal during extended use.

What host port must my computer provide for the keyboard and its two-port hub to function?

A single USB Type A port on the host is required; the keyboard connects by cable and the built-in hub shares that same connection for the mouse and an additional device.

Will the volume dial and Mac-specific function keys work correctly on an older Mac running an earlier macOS release?

The keyboard is built for Mac OS with a 64-level volume dial and dedicated Mac function keys, so it retains full media and brightness control on supported macOS versions.
