Grounding connector for direct burial

The bronze clamp accepts a single grounding conductor ranging from 10 AWG solid to 2 AWG stranded. It is designed for attachment to metallic water pipes or ground rods with an outside diameter between 1 1/4 and 2 inches. A copper screw enables use in direct-burial applications. The unit carries CSA and cULus certifications.

Mechanical connection under continuous fault current

The clamp maintains a low-resistance path when a fault current flows for an extended period. Bronze construction resists corrosion in damp soil, preserving conductivity over time. The copper screw prevents galvanic action that could degrade the joint during long-term burial. No moving parts mean the connection does not loosen from vibration.

Thermal and power characteristics in normal service

Under normal operating conditions the connector carries no continuous current and generates no heat. Voltage drop across the joint is negligible when the conductor is correctly sized. The bronze body and copper screw remain passive, producing no audible noise. Power draw is zero because the device is a passive mechanical bond.
