Questions about this item

Will I need to reinstall or re-activate the Steam code after a system rebuild?

The code binds once to your Steam account; after that the game appears in your library and can be downloaded on any machine without a new key.

What stops the frame-rate from climbing higher during long sessions?

The 2001 engine caps rendering at a fixed 4:3 resolution and single-threaded draw calls, so the CPU core handling the main thread saturates long before the GPU.

How much heat and fan noise should I expect when the game runs for hours?

Because the title only stresses one CPU core and uses a 2001-era renderer, modern desktop chips stay near idle temperatures and fans remain silent.
