The Essick Air Products CM120B is a learning thermostat designed for evaporative coolers rated up to 6500 CFM. It automates the purge cycle so the cooler drains at regular intervals without manual intervention. The unit operates on standard 120V household power and targets installers or facility managers who want scheduled drainage for large coolers.

Build and connections

A plastic housing encloses a motor with a steel shaft for durability in damp environments. The pump connects directly to the cooler’s drain port using the supplied hose, and the integrated timer mounts alongside existing 120V wiring. UL listing confirms the assembly meets recognised safety requirements for permanent installation.

Included accessories

The package supplies the purge pump, a drain hose and a programmable timer that triggers a four to six minute purge every six hours. These components eliminate the need to source separate plumbing or control parts. No additional software or wireless modules are provided, so operation remains fully hardwired and timer-driven.
