Product identity

The ESTONE DS14IN1 is a 14-in-1 USB-C docking station finished in silver. It targets professionals who need to connect multiple peripherals, external displays and wired networking through a single Type-C port on compatible laptops from Apple, Microsoft, Dell, HP and Lenovo.

Sustained operation

The hub delivers 4K HDMI output at 30 Hz and VGA at 1080p while simultaneously passing up to 87 W of Power Delivery to the host machine. Gigabit Ethernet runs at 10/100/1000 Mbps, three USB 3.0 Type-A ports and two USB-C data ports operate at 5 Gbps, and two USB 2.0 ports handle 480 Mbps without active cooling.

Installation notes

Plug-and-play functionality requires no driver installation on supported operating systems. The 10-inch tethered cable and reversible orientation let the unit sit under laptops with USB-C ports on either side. Buyers whose devices lack USB-C video output or PD input will not gain those capabilities from this adapter.

Questions about this item

Does the ESTONE DS14IN1 run hot or draw much power when all 14 ports are active all day?

The adapter passes up to 87 W through its USB-C PD port for laptop charging; the hub itself has no fan and draws only the small overhead needed for its Gigabit Ethernet, three USB 3.0 ports, two USB-C data ports, HDMI, VGA and card readers.

What must my laptop already have for this dock to work?

Your laptop needs a USB-C port that supports video output (DisplayPort Alt Mode) and Power Delivery input so the single cable can drive the 4K HDMI, VGA, Ethernet, audio jack and all USB ports while charging the host at up to 87 W.

Will the hub work with my 2017 MacBook Pro Thunderbolt 3 ports?

Yes — the DS14IN1 is listed as compatible with 2016–2020 MacBook Pro models and connects through their Thunderbolt 3 ports, providing HDMI, VGA, Gigabit Ethernet, SD/MicroSD slots, audio and up to 87 W pass-through charging.
