Purpose and audience

The ESTONE OZC2 captures HDMI video at up to 4K 30 fps input and delivers 1080p 60 fps over USB 3.0. It suits streamers, educators and remote workers who need driver-free recording from cameras, consoles or set-top boxes.

Capacity and headroom

The device accepts 3840x2160 30 Hz signals with 8, 10 or 12-bit colour and converts them to YUV or JPEG at 1080p 60 Hz. Input cables up to 15 metres work at 1080p and below; 4K sources are down-scaled, so high-frame-rate 4K capture is not supported.

Deciding specification

The single figure that determines fit is the 1080p 60 fps maximum capture output over USB 3.0. If your workflow requires recording or streaming at 4K resolution or at frame rates above 60 fps, this unit will not meet that need.

How do I confirm the OZC2 is capturing at 1080p 60 fps after I plug it in?

Open OBS or VLC, add the device and check the video properties — the preview should show 1080p at 60 fps with YUV420 or JPEG format and L-PCM audio.

The package contains the capture card, a USB 3.0/Type-C cable and a user manual — no extra cable is required.
