What it does and who uses it
The ESTONE OZC5 captures one HDMI signal and sends it over USB 3.0 to a computer for streaming or recording. It accepts input up to 3840x2160 at 60 Hz and loops the same signal to a local display with zero latency. The device is powered entirely by the USB connection and works with Windows, macOS and Linux without driver installation.
Capture limits of the USB 3.0 link
Although the HDMI path passes 4K at 60 Hz, the USB 3.0 recording pipeline tops out at 1080p 60 FPS or 4K 30 FPS. HDR, EDID and HDCP 2.2 are supported on the input, but recorded footage cannot exceed those frame-rate ceilings. Buyers who need 4K 60 FPS capture files must choose a different interface.
The spec that decides fit
Maximum recorded resolution is 1080p at 60 frames per second or 4K at 30 frames per second. If your workflow demands higher recorded frame rates at 4K, this capture card will not meet the requirement.
