Adds four SATA 6 Gbps ports through a PCIe 3.0 ×1 slot, includes low-profile bracket and cables
The ESTONE PCIE24SATA adds four SATA 3.0 6 Gbps ports through a single PCIe x1 slot that also fits x4, x8 and x16 sockets. It is aimed at builders who need extra internal drive connections for storage arrays or backup volumes. The Marvell 88SE9215 chipset handles Port Multiplier FIS-based and Command-based switching. A low-profile bracket is included for compact chassis.
An integrated heatsink draws heat away from the controller without a fan, so the card adds no audible noise to the system. Power is supplied entirely through the PCIe slot, keeping cabling simple and total draw low. The board complies with PCI Express 2.0 and 3.0 and is backward compatible with 1.0. SATA 3.0 ports also accept SATA 2.0 and 1.0 drives.
Under continuous read or write loads across four drives the heatsink maintains stable temperatures without throttling. The controller supports booting from attached drives in non-RAID mode and can participate in software RAID when the operating system or motherboard provides it. Hardware RAID is not supported. Compatibility spans Windows XP through 11, macOS, Linux and NAS platforms.

| In the box | Kit includes: 1 × 4-port SATA expansion card, 4 X SATA cable(40 cm/15.8 in), 1 X low-profile bracket, 1 X screwdriver, 2 X screw kit, 1 X anti-static bag. |
Insert the card into any PCIe x1, x4, x8 or x16 slot, swap the full-height bracket for the included low-profile bracket using the supplied screwdriver and screws, then connect the four 40 cm SATA cables; the step often missed is moving the bracket before seating the card.
The on-board heatsink handles passive cooling, so no fan replacement is required; only the four included SATA cables may need swapping if they become damaged or if longer runs are needed.
The PCIe 2.0 x1 host link caps aggregate bandwidth at roughly 5 Gbps, so combined throughput hits that ceiling before any individual SATA 6 Gbps port saturates.
