Two-metre USB-C extension

This two-pack of ESTONE PQ068 cables adds 6.6 ft of reach to any USB-C port. Each male-to-female lead carries power, data and video signals without needing an extra adapter. The braided nylon jacket and reinforced core are rated for over 20000 bend cycles. Both cables are new and ready for immediate use.

Suits single-port laptops and monitors

Users who need to charge a MacBook, iPad or Galaxy phone while the wall outlet is far from the desk will benefit. The cables also extend a display link to a 4K monitor at 60 Hz. They do not work with USB-A ports or USB Mini-B connectors, so owners of older peripherals must look elsewhere.

100 W 10 Gbps 4K spec

The decisive figure is the combined 100 W power delivery, 10 Gbps data rate and 4K 60 Hz video support over a single USB-C link. If your charger, host and display all meet those ratings the cable will pass full performance; any weaker link in the chain will limit the result.

Questions about this item

What does the 10 Gbps data rate mean when the cable is connected between my laptop and an external SSD?

The link can move up to 10 gigabits per second, so large video files or backups finish in seconds provided both the host port and the drive support USB 3.2 Gen 2 speeds.

Which USB standard does the male-to-female connection use and what does it limit?

It uses USB 3.2 Gen 2, capping data at 10 Gbps, power delivery at 100 W (20 V / 5 A) and video at 4K 3840×2160 @ 60 Hz.

What physical space do I need for the connectors on each end?

Each end is a standard USB-C plug; the male goes into the host or charger and the female accepts your existing USB-C cable, adding 6.6 ft of reach without extra bulk.
