What this cable does

The ESTONE PQ106 is a USB-C male-to-female extension cable that adds 3.3 ft of reach while carrying 10 Gbps data, 100 W power delivery and 4K video at 60 Hz. It is sold as a two-pack for users who need to place USB-C peripherals further from the host port.

Check your ports and host capability

Both ends are USB-C only; the cable cannot connect to USB-A or Mini-B ports. Your charger, laptop and the device being extended must each support USB Power Delivery up to 100 W and video output over USB-C to use every feature.

Thermals, noise and power draw

Passive copper construction means no fans, no audible noise and no active cooling requirement. The cable simply conducts up to 100 W of negotiated power; heat generated in normal use is limited to the connectors and remains within normal operating temperature for USB-C cables.

Questions about this item

Does the 2-pack include two complete male-to-female cables or do I need a separate cable for each device?

The 2-pack contains two complete USB-C male-to-female extension cables, each 3.3 ft long, so you can extend two devices without buying anything extra.

Should I choose the 10 Gbps version or a slower cable for my 4K @ 60 Hz monitor?

This cable is rated for 10 Gbps (USB 3.1 Gen 2 / USB 3.2) and supports 4K video at 60 Hz, so the single version listed already covers that use case.

Will the 100 W rating actually charge my MacBook Pro 13 inch 2020 at full speed?

The cable handles up to 100 W (20 V / 5 A) Power Delivery; your MacBook Pro 13 inch 2020 will charge at its maximum supported rate provided the charger and laptop both support 100 W PD.
