SDI to HDMI converter for broadcast monitoring

The ESTONE SDI2HDMI converts SD, HD and 3G-SDI signals to HDMI for display on standard monitors. It accepts 480i, 576i, 720p and 1080i/p at frame rates including 24, 25, 30, 50 and 60 Hz. A loop-through BNC output passes the original SDI signal to a second screen. Power is drawn from a USB DC 5 V supply.

The unit handles SD-SDI, HD-SDI and 3G-SDI bit rates up to 2.97 Gbps and auto-detects the incoming format. SDI cable runs of 300 ft at 3G-SDI, 500 ft at HD-SDI and 1000 ft at SD-SDI are supported, while the loop output reaches 300 ft. Eight channels of 48 kHz embedded audio travel with the video. Resolution stops at 1080p; 4K signals are not processed.

Replaces rack converters for mobile crews

This converter replaces bulky rack-mounted gear when a portable SDI-to-HDMI path with simultaneous loop-out is needed. It is not for HDMI-to-SDI workflows, RF, CVBS, AHD, TVI or CVI sources, or any 4K pipeline.
