Direct replacement for Kindle Paperwhite 2013

This Estry lithium-ion cell matches the S13-R1-D and S13-R1-S part numbers used in the 2013 Paperwhite and the 2013 Kindle Touch models. It restores the original 3.7 V, 1350 mAh capacity so the e-reader regains its factory runtime without modification.

Single-cell Li-ion limits and protection

The 3.7 V chemistry delivers a nominal 5.00 Wh in a 91.32 x 57.89 x 4.0 mm pouch that weighs 33.7 g. Integrated circuitry guards against over-charge, over-discharge, over-voltage and short circuits, while ISO 9001, RoHS, CE, UN 38.3 and MSDS certifications confirm baseline safety compliance.

Upgrade from a depleted or swollen original cell

Owners whose Kindle no longer holds a charge or shows physical swelling can swap in this new unit and recover full reading time. The change is not worthwhile if the device has other faults such as a damaged charging port or a failed display controller.

Questions about this item

Which capacity should I pick for my Kindle Paperwhite 2013 — the 1350 mAh or the 1600 mAh version?

Choose the 1350 mAh version; it matches the original battery specification for the S13-R1-D and S13-R1-S part numbers.

What does the 5.00 Wh rating mean for daily reading time?

It represents the total energy the cell stores; actual reading hours depend on screen brightness, wireless use and page-turn frequency.

Does the 3.7 V output match the Kindle's charging circuit?

Yes, the 3.7 V nominal voltage is identical to the original cell, so the device's charging and protection circuits work normally.
