Questions about this item

Does the 1.2 V 1800 mAh Ni-MH cell run hot or draw extra power during all-day use in a Braun shaver?

The 1.2 V 1800 mAh Ni-MH cell delivers 2.16 Wh and includes overcharge, over-discharge and short-circuit protection, so it stays cool and draws only the current the shaver requests.

What must I already own for this 5494 replacement to work?

You need a Braun shaver that accepts part numbers 5494, 56456550, 6513 or 180AAH and a standard Ni-MH charger for 1.2 V AA-size cells.

Will the 49.9 x 14.3 mm 52.0 g pack fit the battery compartment of my older Braun 6513 shaver?

Yes — the dimensions 49.9 x 14.3 mm and weight 52.0 g match the original 180AAH pack used in the 6513, so it slides in without modification.
