Compatible replacement battery

The Estry 5744 is a nickel-metal hydride cell built to match the original specifications for Braun shavers including the Flex XP 5771, 5773 Series3 380 and several other listed models. It delivers a nominal 1.2V and 2000mAh capacity in a single pack.

Thermal and power behaviour

Ni-MH chemistry runs cool during normal daily charging and shaving cycles with no active cooling required. The cell includes overcharge, over-discharge, over-voltage and short-circuit protection to maintain safe operation.

Sustained load performance

Under repeated shaving sessions the 2.4Wh pack holds voltage steadily and resists memory effect better than older nickel-cadmium types. It is not suited for devices that demand higher voltage or lithium-ion chemistry.

Questions about this item

How do I install the Estry 5744 Ni-MH battery in my Braun shaver and what step is often missed?

Slide the battery pack into the handle until it clicks, ensuring the polarity contacts align with the shaver terminals; the step often missed is fully seating the pack so both contacts engage.

What maintenance or replacement will the Estry 5744 2000mAh Ni-MH battery need over time?

The Ni-MH cells will gradually lose capacity after repeated charge cycles; plan to replace the pack when run-time drops noticeably below the original 2.4 Wh rating.

What limit appears first during sustained use of the Estry 5744 1.2 V battery in a Braun Series 3 shaver?

Voltage sag under load is the first limit; as the 2000 mAh pack discharges, the motor slows once the cell voltage drops below the shaver's minimum operating threshold.
