Replacement battery for Sokkia SET 5 total stations

This 6.0V 1400mAh Ni-MH pack replaces BDC25A BDC25M and BDC25B cells in SET 5E 5FS 5A 5WS 5S and 5F instruments. Survey crews who need a direct-fit spare for daily field work can install it without adapters. It is not for users who require a different voltage or connector layout.

Steady output during long survey sessions

The 8.4Wh capacity supports extended operation under continuous measurement load rather than brief peak draws. Built-in overcharge over-discharge over-voltage and short-circuit protection maintains stable voltage through a full day of stake-outs or traverses. It is not for applications that demand higher watt-hour ratings than 8.4Wh.

Rugged housing with certified safety marks

The pack measures 94.84 x 56.74 x 26.82mm and weighs 219.3g, fitting the original battery cavity exactly. ISO9001 RoHS CE UN38.3 and MSDS certification confirm compliance with transport and environmental standards. It is not for builders who need a larger form factor or a different mounting pattern.

Questions about this item

Does the 6.0V 1400mAh Ni-MH pack run hot or draw extra power during a full surveying day?

The battery delivers 8.4Wh at 6.0V with built-in overcharge, over-discharge, over-voltage and short-circuit protection, so heat and power draw stay within normal limits for total-station use.

What must I already own for this Estry pack to work in the field?

You need a Sokkia SET 5 series total station — SET 5E, 5FS, 5A, 5WS, 5S or 5F — that accepts the original BDC25A, BDC25M or BDC25B battery.

Will the 94.84 x 56.74 x 26.82mm, 219.3g replacement fit and charge in my existing Sokkia charger for the BDC25A?

Yes, the pack matches the original dimensions and part numbers BDC25A, BDC25M and BDC25B, so it seats and charges in the standard Sokkia charger.
